As a System Administrator, you will manage our technology fleet, computer systems, assembly and finishing rooms and all infrastructure including networks, servers, storage and virtualization solutions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide high level technical support to all users;
- Ensure the proper functioning and updates of our software in the stations as well as the editing and finishing rooms;
- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain all studio technical infrastructure to ensure all system and security patches are up to date;
- Oversee and contribute to system documentation and relevant documentation so that it is kept up to date in an organized manner;
- Track new technologies (hardware, software, R&D);
- Budgeting and technical acquisitions (supplier relations, shopping, negotiation and equipment purchases);
WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Adequate IT education and/or equivalent work experience;
- Experience in post-production and/or VFX is an asset;
- Excellent knowledge of Linux (Redhat based distros), Windows, Mac OS;
- Excellent knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory;
- Excellent knowledge of VM;
- Excellent knowledge of DNS, DHCP and LDAP;
- Advanced knowledge of networking protocols and technologies;
- Advanced network security and system hardening skills;
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes or Rez is a plus;
- Strong command line skills;
- Knowledge of ZFS systems;
- Knowledge of Linux deployment and management systems such as Kickstart/Yum, Puppet and Ansible.

In this role, you will be solely responsible for the studio's day-to-day IT systems and operations. You will work independently, collaborating closely with a TD pipeline for issues related to 3D artists and with an assistant editor for the technical realities of post-production. You will also be able to count on external consultants we already work with for more specialized issues.
